Linking workstations together is not a problem with LiBRARYSOFT™. There are no extra per station charges. Network as many computers as you wish up to a practical limit of about 1000 workstations.
If your library uses MS SQL Server, you can network as many stations as your MS SQL server license allows.
LiBRARYSOFT™ includes three OPACs (Online Public Access Catalogs)
- OPAC - Client Server
- Kid's OPac - Client Server
- OPACIntranet/Internet - Browser access to data accross the internet or an
intranet (regular network).
OPAC and Kid's OPAC are desiged for client server type installations through
a building. They are fast and work across a regular network and contain
more graphics than OPACInternet/Intranet because of the technology used.
OPACIntranet/Internet works across a network or the internet via the most
common web browsers (Explorer, Netscape or Mozilla and more). The great
benefit of this is, no additional software installation is required on the workstation with
internet access or access to the network if they already contain a web browser.
